The RAVS-2400 24″ Sq. Anti-Vortex Plate & Sump Assembly is designed for use in fountains and reflecting pools using remote pumping systems. They provide a pre-fabricated mechanism for returning water from pool to pump, eliminating vortexing (drawing air into the pump) and promoting efficient circulation. The RAVS-2400 consists of a heavy-duty FRP sump with integral waterstop flange, 6″ side , 4″ bottom PVC connection, and a 2″ “vacuum break” (socket) connection. The 4″ interior connection shall be provided with a 4″ threaded male plug. The unit features a 3/16″ thick brass anti-vortex plate with brass spacers and TORX type Stainless Steel vandal resistant safety fasteners. Recommended maximum flow rate is 400 GPM at a 16″ water depth. Please refer to the cut sheet for additional data and safety notice. Note: If this is the primary suction force for the recirculation system, use two (2) units minimum, to lessen risk of suction entrapment.
