Description 90 Degree Elbow 90 Degree Elbow pieces are one of those products you might wonder if you need. Ducting is flexible, after all! It can be easily bent in a 90 degree angle, so why spend money on a bit of metal to do the same job. Its all about ease of air flow. Ducting is best when it is tight, in a straight line. This is because the coil of metal that goes round and round the ducting causes no obstruction to the air as it travels through. If the ducting is slack, the coil creates peaks and troughs in the tube and this “trips up” the air, causing eddies and vortexes. These can slow down air flow, but more critical for some, it increases noise. The smoother the air transit, the quieter and more effective it is. These pressed metal 90 degree bends are the ideal solution to direct your airflow around corners without dramatically reducing the flow rate of your air. As these bends are smooth on the insides they do not restrict your airflow like a bent length of ducting that has an irregular rumpled inner lining. Available in 4, 5, 6, 8, 10 and 12 inch diameter sizes, there is a pressed metal 90 degree bend to fit any ventilation system we stock here at HYDRO PRO.  Available Sizes: 4″, 5″, 6″, 8″, 10″, 12″
