This is due to the unique mix of 5 fabrics – Acrylic (68%), Nylon (21%), Wool (7%) Polyester (2%) and Polyurethane (2%). Wearing a traditional baselayer, normally made from 100% polyester, it takes time to warm up as it needs to seal your body heat in between your skin and the garment, creating a warm layer of air. Freedom of movement As well as being incredibly warm, you get incredible freedom of movement due to the patented knitting process and the mix of 5 fabrics. The Ultimate is unlike any other baselayer, in that it does not use compression as the main method of maintaining heat. Other baselayers focus on compression as the fundamental part of heat retention so they have to be super tight, restricting your movement.
